The main filming has been concluded and we are currently focused on post-production. Your support will allow us to complete the editing and undertake translation/subtitling. It will then be used to support the final promotion and distribution of the film.
Editing: There is over 40 hours of raw footage. Your support will support us to continue editing with a skilled Spanish-speaking editor.
Translation & Subtitling: Because the film was mostly shot in Spanish, we need professional translation and subtitling to ensure the final film accurately reflects the words and meanings of the women.
Final filming (follow up visits): With all 4 protagonists finally now safely in the USA, we will be doing follow-up visits to gain any new perspective on their journey and their thoughts on their experiences of America so far.
Promotion and distribution: We want this film to be seen by as many people and as broad an audience as possible. As we come towards the final edit, we will be approaching news agencies to feature the film on their channels, whilst also entering the film into film festivals across the U.S. and abroad. At the same time, we will actively seek to share the film through immigrant/refugee/diaspora and LGBTQ groups and networks.
